I was recently diagnosed by an ent dr with a papilloma one on my uvulva and left tonsil. i was told to either surgically remove both tonsil or remove by incision the tumor. i'd like to know if its better to choose the 2nd option??

Excision only: Papillomas typically arise off the membranes of the oropharynx and oral cavity and can be easily removed from the tonsil tissue without requiring a tonsillectomy. The procedure is much simpler and, unless you’ve had lots of problems with your tonsils necessitating removal, tonsillectomy is unnecessary and carries higher risks and a much longer recovery.
