POLYCYSTIC OVARIES: Polycystic ovaries are best treated with hormone replacement therapy (BCPs), hoping to preserve fertility. Although partial resection of ovaries has been described, I don't believe that I would depend upon the "enlargement" described by ultrasound. If any change is observed it would be decreased volume and once again surgery at this stage would NOT be advised.
