Quit now !: So glad you plan to quit - do it now (:. Don't know how heavily you smoke. However, it might be possible to reverse all the damage over time.

Go for it: If you stop now, should be absolutely no lingering problems in future. Even lifelong smokers are back to normal risk after a few year’s assuming no COPD or cancers while smoking
