Hello, i was diagnosed with bells palsy in the left side of my face last week and now ive noticed a loss of feeling in the left side of my body as well. could this be a side effect of the disease?

Unlikely. : Bell’s Palsy is a condition where one side of the face becomes paralyzed over a period of a day or 2. Most cases are caused by a herpesvirus infection, including Herpes simplex and Herpes zoster (chickenpox virus). Some cases are caused by the bacteria responsible for Lyme Disease. Not likely to affect you entire left body. That may be caused by an entirely different condition. See a doctor

Inconsistent: As mentioned, Bell's palsy affects solely the facial nerve and would not cause focal limb numbness. Other conditions can affect the seventh nerve plus other portions of brain and spinal cord (eg, sarcoidosis). So, if things are getting more complex, you need attention from a neurologist.
