COVID 19 status: Not everyone becomes COVID 19 positive on testing after 5 days. You may not have become infected or it may be too early for your test to be positive. If you took an antigen test - they are less accurate than PCR testing.

Can’t say for sure: Maybe just good luck. Maybe she wasn’t coughing (too much). Maybe too weak to cough “effectively”. Lots we still don’t know. I’ve treated many couples where 1 member had clear-cut coronavirus and the other did absolutely fine - no clinical or lab-confirmed disease. At 11 days, still not “impossible” - just getting less likely with every passing day.
