If so prescribed: Duration and goals of treatment should be clearly delineated with your prescribing doc, otherwise mentioned combination is commonly used. Many times follow up with upper endoscopy is needed to assess for response to treatment and a gastroenterologist would be best to follow and make further recommendations.
