Nexium: is used to control, not cure gastritis. Gastritis can be caused by many issues from diet, to being nervous, to several gastro-intestinal issues. You indicate you have diverticulitis - this might be causing your gastritis. Discus treatment with your treating physician and ask what else you can do to better control all of your issues.
