I visted a doctor last week for correlation and l instructed me to get a follow-up xray and splutum test. my xray is normal but for the splutum test i can't get a sample. i've been trying to get a sample every morning for a week now. what should i do?

No sputum: You don't mention what your symptoms are or what your first chest xray showed. If you can't produce a valid sputum specimen after drinking lots of water and taking an expectorant cough syrup, notify the MD. The normal chest x-ray is reassuring. If you're still experiencing a constant dry cough, perhaps a pulmonologist would be best to consult for further evaluation and testing.
