Tendon lengthening: If 6 months of physical therapy has not helped, then it is time to discuss surgical intervention. I assume you have had xrays and or mri? If not, then you need to be evaluated by a surgical and/or sports medicine trained podiatrist. You may need to have a lengthening procedure performed on the achilles tendon.

Achilles : You might try the usual rice treatment and a custom afo. It's difficult to keep an gymnast down and rest it. May try antiinflamatory drugs too.
