A member asked:

At regular physical, blood work came back with wbc count at 11.3 and absolute lymphocytes at 3.9. blood work up 5 years ago also had wbc at 11.0. could these numbers indicate cancer?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

No: All laboratory results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Talk to the doctor who ordered the tests. Having said that, a stable white cell count, even at the upper end of normal is not a cause for concern, Wish you good health!
