A member asked:

Would application of antifungal cream to toes/feet without first washing (because of fear of spreading it to other parts of the body like hands) get rid of the athletes foot?

Fungal infection: Athletes foot results in burning, itching and scaly skin along with redness. Over the counter antifungal creams and sprays can help kill the yeast that cause these infections. They are best applied to dry skin. To prevent future infections, try wearing open shoes (sandals or flip-flops). Sanitize bathtub/shower floor with bleach and use alcohol based hand sanitizer to prevent spread.
