May take longer: Your best reference remains your ordering/ treating physician as the biopsy may take up to 2 weeks for final interpretation. Have also your GP involved in case not ordering physician in case communication falls through the cracks.

Be patient: An accurate liver biopsy can take a few weeks, as there is a precise process required for an appropriate outcome. Make certain that all doctors involved know how to reach you when results arrive. Check in about once weekly.
