It depends...: ...on the cause. Saline nasal spray often is helpful. If it's an allergic problem, a nasal corticosteroid spray (e.g. fluticasone) often works. If bacterial infection, an oral antibiotic might be necessary. If uncertain about any of this, see a doctor for diagnosis and advice. Don't get in the habit of continued use of decongestant sprays, which always stop working or worsen symptoms.
