Hard to answer: Usually, ulcer healing takes around 8 weeks. However, many people need to take it for longer periods. Do speak with your physician and don;t just continue it on you own.

Check with your GI!: Your gastroenterologist should determine that. Chronic ppi use has been linked to gastric lymphoma and should only be used when clearly indicated and expertly approved.

48 hours: It takes a delayed-release proton pump inhibitor like Nexium (esomeprazole) that long to reduce acid enough in your stomach to be noticeable.

Can I take Nexium (esomeprazole) and NyQuil?

Which NyQuil?: Turns out, there are many versions of NyQuil, each w/different medications/ingredients. So while it's wise to check for interactions, you need to be more specific. Check out http://www.drugs.com/interactions-check.php?drug_list=1015-567,55-17410,54-16419 where I ran 2 common versions against Nexium (esomeprazole) - looks fine. You can always ask local pharmacist or your Family Doc, too. Above assumes no allergie

Be: very cautious taking these two meds together. Talk to your doctor before you start. If this is only alternative need to watch closely for side effects. But talk to your doctor
