Maalox: Yes. If you need extra help with heartburn take Tums (calcium carbonate) or Maalox but not on a regular basis.

Yes but not within 1: -2 hours of taking the nexium (esomeprazole). If you are having more than occasional medication for breakthrough heartburn you need to see your doctor.
