Hi doctors. my friends and ihad lunch last wednesday. one of them got sick last thursday night--possible covid--waiting for pcr results. is it safe or not for the rest of us to have lunch together this wednesday if the friend who feels ill stays away?

Self Quarantine: Since a person is infectious 24-48 hours prior to developing symptoms, you have all been exposed and should be quarantining. Get tested at days 5-7 post exposure for most accurate results. You should avoid all persons including roommates, and should definitely not go out in public.

Not safe: If your friend is positive, any one of you may be positive. Skip lunch until you know everyone's status.
