A member asked:

What are the typical symptoms of a nocturnal seizure, what argues for it and what against? would waking up and going back to sleep and remembering argue against? being tired and lethargic for?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Precipitous event: There are usually no warnings other than some vague feelings of dysfunction. Provocation includes, lack of prior sleep, emotional stress, lack of regular food or hydration, an infection, recreational drug use, medication reaction, cessation of prior epilepsy drug. If you awaken out of bed, have soreness in scattered body parts, a bitten tongue, bowel/bladder incontinence, confusion, clues!
