Alanine aminotransferase levels recently is 38. normal is usually 17-20 for me. what can cause the recent elevation? all other labs are fine. 40 yr old female. exercise daily. please advise?

Not meaningful: All laboratory results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Talk to the doctor who ordered the tests. Having said that, having ALT at the upper end of normal is not a cause for concern. No alcohol, avoid acetaminophen. Wish you good health!
