Virtual consult: You may upload a photo of the rash during a virtual consultation. Watch for signs of impetigo, including crusted lesions or blisters. Monitor temperature, avoid contact of the skin with irritants, fragrances and apply a thin layer of Bacitracin ointment twice daily until evaluated. If he has been blowing his nose, the skin may become inflamed and will resolve usually without complications.
