My 6 month old daughter has itchy spells and when they start her nose, ears and eyes just get red. she doesn't have a rash but you can see it's irritating by the way she rubs her ears and eyes. is it safe to use allergy medication on her?

Food allergy?: The symptoms indicate an allergic reaction. Please see your pediatrician. Provide a dose of children's Benadryl after speaking with your PCP. A common cause at this age includes a food allergy. Please arrange CAP testing to include a food panel test for foods commonly associated with allergic reactions. Determine whether there is a trigger causing this reaction.
