A few comments: Since there is no information on rationale for such a procedure, generic comments only: risky due to level in neck as bad result could require respirator (phrenic nerve level); not so common in my practice experience; would have to know reason for procedure to get benefit/ risk guess; will refer to neurosurgeon directly
