With appendicitis, does the pain always start near your belly button or the right side of your body? or can it start in the upper left of your abdomen? would lower back pain be a sign as well? and would the back pain be worse then the abdominal pain?

Appendix: Presentation really depends on its location. Standard location pain in bell button and then right lower abdomen. High retrocecal can cause right upper abdomen pain and perhaps minimal back pain etc...
