A small hernia in the umbilicus could cause pain. The vibrations in the left lower abdomen are nonspecific. They could be caused by an irritable superficial abdominal wall nerve or muscle or peristaltic colonic waves. Normal intestinal functions would be a favorable sign of no pathology. See your MD or a gastroenterologist as needed.
