A member asked:

Can i trust a negative urine pregnancy test taken 10 weeks after sex? because of the negative upt, i also had an abdominal ultrasound done the next day and it was normal and detected pcod. so can i conclude for sure that i am not pregnant?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Pregnancy ?'s: A negative "home pregnancy test 10 weeks after sex" is probably reliable, but obtain a serum HCG test to be certain. "Polycystic ovarian disease" (PCOD ?) typically results in delayed ovulation, which delays menstrual periods. Ask your gyn about BCP's, as this is the recommended treatment for "PCOD" until/unless pregnancy is desired.
