Wouldn't think so: This is a question best answered by her treatment team. The actual chemo she takes would not pose a risk to the baby. Whether or not any other material involved is a risk is determined by her docs. I find it more damaging to both if she is not permitted to bond with her child & start the important role of mothering.

Hand washing: It is important to wash hands prior to handling a newborn. They have developing immune systems. The open sores are a source of infection and gloves may help to protect the baby. Use COVID 19 precautions, and flu vaccine for mom.
