Baby pushing up: You are in a stage of your pregnancy where baby is putting maximum strain on your diaphragm. which is much more when you lie down. Baby has not yet dropped far into the pelvis, so it pushes diaphragm and lungs up. Having asthma, you don't have much respiratory reserve. Try sleeping in a recliner for a few weeks. You'll probably get much better sleep like that. It's only 8 more weeks!
