Probably ok...: The best thing you can do is relax and try to stop watching your heart rate. It is normal for your heart rate to increase with stress, like arguing with your brother. Distract yourself by doing something you enjoy that is relaxing and look at your heart rate again in 30-60 minutes. If it still does not decrease, or if you become short of breath, lightheaded,, chest pain develops, seek treatment.
