This: "monitoring" of the pulse rate by "smart" watches or wristbands has NOT been studied sufficiently to conclude anything at this point. Suffices to say that Apple Watch is one of the better ones...and if you are having symptoms..palpitations..etc your Medical Professional will be interested in your watch's output! BTW Apple is developing more sensitive software and much of this springs from NASA !

Probably Wrong: Learn to check your pulse yourself so you can verify. If it is indeed 158 consistently over 10-15 min then you should see your doctor.
