I treat hashimoto with 50 mg levothroxine daily during working days and 75mg on saturday and sunday. when i take a higher dose i feel hungry, have palpitations and headaches, smell hypersensitivity. is it possible the medication is causing this?

Yes: I would not adjust your thyroid med without guidance from your doc. You are clearly experiencing side effects with 75mcg and should speak with your HCP.
