I had an injection in ileopsoas bursa about 3 weeks ago. the pain lessened but never totally relieved. now it is getting worse. what might be the next step? i see the dr in 3 weeks. can the injection wear off or does it stop at once? thanks?

Wears off : Assuming the injection contained steroids, how quickly it wears off depends on amount, sustained release Vs immediate release, but it will wear off. As it only lasted a couple of weeks, I would discuss other techniques for pain relief such as radio frequency ablation, physical therapy, manipulation, TNS unit, oral/topical NSAIDs, and ergonomic education.
