Had an injection on my heal for plantar fasciitis and enlarged bursa sac. about an hour after injection, my heel felt worse and could barely walk. told it is burst bursa. does this sound correct ? how long u til it heals?

heel?? Sounds right to me. As Yogi Berra said: It is hard to make predictions. Especially about the future. I would discuss with the injector who knows you and what was done in your case.

This an an unfortunate side affect that does not occur very often. I do not know exactly why but if the bursa sac was enlarged by the injection this would create pain due to the expansion of the bursa. Cortisone can take 1 to 3 days to be affective depending on the medication injected. The first period of numbness is from the local anesthesia used in the injection. If continues tell doctor
