No Need: Unless your baby is exhibiting severe diarrhea or vomiting, there is no need to supplement the formula with water. In fact it can cause malnutrition. Feeding your 2 month old 2-4 ounces of formula every 2-3 hours throughout the day provides him with enough fluids and nutrition to thrive.

No,no,no,no: If a baby that age wants more fluids, nurse or give pumped milk or formula. You do not want to give a baby this young fluid that fills him up but has no calories or nutrition. If he wants more fluids, make it count. some babies will nurse every hour during cluster feeds, so go ahead and feed him if he wants more.
