So in the past i have been having syncopal episodes while in bed laying down .this might sound weird but i can feel it coming on and laying down doesnt help nothing .what will a tilt table test help with?

Neurologist: If you're actually losing consciousness during these episodes they could be a type of seizure or be caused by cardiac arrhythmia and/or drops in blood pressure. In your case a tilt table test looks for the opposite effect of a drop in blood pressure in going from the supine position to standing. I think you need neurological and/or cardiovascular studies. I would start with the neurologist.

Syncope: Agree with Dr Colantino regarding possible value of neurologist. Would speculate about potential kinking of vertebral arteries in neck secondary to supine posture changing neck angles. Could also wonder about inner ear mechanisms, and of course, cardiovascular difficulties. Might need many studies to get this pin pointed. Stay persistent.
