Need more info.: Sometimes the circumstances of the syncope provide the clue as to the cause. More information might be provided by checking ones blood pressure sitting and standing at the time of lightheadedness; this might be abnormal if one is dehydrated. In addition, a 24 hour holter monitor test might indicate whether or not there is a recurring cardiac rhythm abnormality.
