Viral infection: Diarrhea in a toddler is typically caused by a viral infection. Treatment includes fever reducers, cool water baths and lots of hydration with electrolyte solutions. The course lasts about 3-5 days. If your baby is not having wet diapers, is lethargic or the fever does not reduce, talk to your Dr for a thorough examination.
