On going diarrhea : With kids, I recommend extra caution. Kids don't have the "reserve" that adults do to fight through an illness. Since things aren't getting better either, I would take your kid to the primary MD today or the ER if no apts. You should have someone check your son for signs of dehydration. And the stool should be checked too, to make sure no blood loss. If he can drink, add fluids now like pedialyte.

Treat gastroenteritis: Your son is having infective diarrhea or dysentry , may be bacterial infection leading to loose motion and blood in stool .Consult your doctor get the treatment done as soon as possible . he may need blood test,stool test ,i.V. fluids and antibiotics
