COVID 19: Although most people recover from COVID 19 infection in a week. some may have lingering problems that last for weeks to months to include marked fatigue and pulmonary &/or cardiac problems. In one study 21.7% had residual chest pain after "recovery" from COVID 19. See: https://www.medscape.org/viewarticle/935840. Assessment makes sense.

Muscle pain: If you have been coughing and are otherwise well, chest wall muscular pain is one possible cause. Application of local heat may be helpful. Other causes though include bronchospasm, pneumonia and a heart condition. Watch for signs of chest pressure, shortness of breath, wheezing and please follow up with your physician.
