Fever reducer: Depends on the age. If under 2 use infant acetaminophen with the appropriate dropper to measure the medication. If over 2 use the child acetaminophen with the appropriate measuring cup according to instructions. You can also use cool water baths and wet cool compresses. Avoid wrapping the child up in very warm clothes.

Toddler fever: Not all fevers need to be treated. Fever is serving a purpose for your child. Your immune system works better at fighting infection at higher body temperature, and the germs causing the infection, be they viruses, bacteria, etc don't survive as well at higher body temperatures. So unless child is very uncomfortable, let the fever be and push fluids. Monitor closely for other or new symptoms.
