A member asked:

What is the redness behind newborn's head & will it fade on his own?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Likely birthmark: A percentage of all newborns will have a rose red parch of skin at the nape of the neck. This is commonly called a stork's bite birthmark. It can vary in size but is flat with the skin. It may fade with age, vary some in location and can persist through life. His doc can confirm/exclude this label.
