Get retested: Probably your exposures were more recent than your cough. Or maybe your test missed the infection -- the tests aren't perfect and sometimes negative even in infected people. You should be retested. Good luck.

Covid 19: The covid-19 test is best taken at day 4-5 after exposure whether asymptomatic or not. Either way, you should be self-isolating for 14 days after the exposure. A test on Day 5 after an exposure can allow you to be cleared to go back to work by day 7.
