Some use 2x/day: Hctz (hydrochlorothiazide) is a mild diuretic most often used to treat hypertension. It is often used once daily but some use 2 times a day. So, it is ok to use 2x/day, but i would advise that you check with your doc to find out why you would need to use 2x/day, especially being your age at 24? More likely to have side effects from 2 vs 1 pill per day. So, consult doc. Good luck.

Yes: The last thing you want to do is start self medicating. One extra hctz (hydrochlorothiazide) may even help but without blood pressure guidance and the advice of your doctor who knows what is best for your health you may be missing signs of deteriorating health. Talk to your doctor before you make a mistake that could really harm you.
