Evaluation: Your chest symptom may indicate pneumonia or an inflammatory reaction of the airways. Please have an evaluation including a pulse oximetry. If a virtual appointment is available, please have an evaluation. Drink fluids, rest and monitor your temperature. Take an antacid for GERD symptoms. Watch for signs of distress, and please see a physician if this occurs. Symptoms may improve slowly or worsen.

Can't say: Don't know the reason for your burning chest pain, so can't recommend any particular treatment. Rest, hydrate, quarantine & eat healthfully. Consider use of acetaminophen, saline for nasal irrigation, decongestant or cough syrup. Get urgent care for difficulty breathing, blue lips or face, marked persistent chest pain/ pressure or new onset confusion.
