Although there are many possibilities (including infection, or heart disease),a more common cause at your age is GERD (gastroesophageal reflux disease). Reflux of stomach acid into the esophagus or above can cause burning sensation in chest or throat, as well as dry cough. Often H2 blockers (ie. famotidine),or proton pump inhibitors (ie. omeprazole) can help if this is the case. See your doctor.
