Talk to your OB: Azithromycin studies in pregnant women have yielded inconsistent results. There are some articles pointing to an effect on heart malformations causing Sweden to ban the drug in pregnancy, and there are other studies showing no effect. To be safe, avoid this medication since there is not a clear consensus. Instead use saline nasal washes and avoid antibiotics unless your Dr sees a significant need.
