Were getting the covid vaccine and i heard people with allergies that carry an epipen shouldnt get one. im allergic to some medications. my tongue swelled up from one medication and i had to go to the er. im also allergic to bees?

At Risk: Any person with a history of severe allergic reactions should not get the vaccine according to the CDC. If your tongue swelled up and you had to go to the ER, you had a severe allergic reaction and should not receive the vaccine. You will be at a much higher risk for an acute allergic reaction to the vaccine and may develop anaphylaxis.
