At Risk: Any person with a history of severe allergic reactions should not get the vaccine according to the CDC. If your tongue swelled up and you had to go to the ER, you had a severe allergic reaction and should not receive the vaccine. You will be at a much higher risk for an acute allergic reaction to the vaccine and may develop anaphylaxis.
