Lymphadenopathy LAD: Or swollen lymph nodes are commonly due to infections and resolve shortly after the infection is over. For example, an upper respiratory infection such as sinusitis may cause LAD in the neck & resolves w/ in a few weeks. Lad at a site distal to the source of infection (e.g. An infected toe leading to LAD in the groin) must be examined by a doctor to rule out a possible serious underlying condition.
