My femoral lymph nodes and inguinal (groin) lymph nodes are swollen and hurt. could the open wound on my leg have caused this to happen?

Adenopathy: A chronic or infected distal wound can cause the proximal lymph nodes (closer to the heart), to swell. Have your doc check you out. A trial of antibiotics, followed by a biopsy may be recommended. If your wound is not healed, get a wound center evaluation.

Possibly.: You will need to see your doctor to determine if the swollen glands are related to the wound.
