Hydrocele: The indication for a hernia repair is an inguinal canal that is open enough to allow fluid and organs to pass through them. This tract leads to the Scrotum, so any fluid or material that passes through the canal into the scrotum causes a hydrocele. If the surgery closed the passage, the fluid will reabsorb and the hydrocele will slowly go away.
