Have difficulty with consistent bms. i was told by a dr, for a week to take miralax on day 1 and on day 5, and to take 4 colace each day along with the miralax on day 1 and on day 5 for a week. i am not a dr, but isn't that amount of colace excessive?

Drs advice: The amount of any given medication is titrated by the prescribing physician according to the patient's individual needs. Please call your physician and ask your question of him/her. Your physician can tell you why he/she feels that this is an appropriate dose to treat your problem.
