I have emergency surgery for twisted small part of intestine removed.told to take colace twice a day and 17 miralax every day. to prevent constipation. surgery was a month ago. is it safe to continue long term can they be taken together pls help?

The Miralax can be taken safely indefinitely. I would wean off the Colace when you can. Going to once a day then every other for a week then off may be well tolerated. If things back up slow the wean.

Hi can you take colace & miralax together? Upping fiber and trying to get regular newly menopausal & adjusting to hot flashes, night sweats and now tough bowel movements. It gets to the end but stops lol. Sorry tmi. I See gastro in a few weeks?
